Best Savings Circle Apps 2026: Susu and Tanda Apps Compared
Nine apps that run a susu, sou sou, tanda or partner hand, compared on the thing that matters most: whether the app moves the money or only keeps the record while you pay each other. Every detail comes from each app’s own listing or website.

First, who is writing this
We make The SUSU App, one of the apps below. To keep this fair, every fact about another app comes from its own App Store listing or website, checked on October 23, 2026. Where a developer doesn’t say something, we say “not published” rather than guess. We have left out star ratings: every app here has a handful at most, which tells you nothing. If we have something wrong about your app, email support@thesusu.app and we will check and correct it.

Which kind suits your circle?
An app that moves the money collects each contribution and pays the pot to whoever’s turn it is. The record and the money can’t disagree, nobody has to chase a payment, and members usually verify their identity first. The cost is fees, and everyone needs a card or bank account the app supports; cash doesn’t work.
A tracking app keeps the schedule and the record while members keep paying each other the way they already do. These are mostly free and work with cash, but someone still has to confirm each payment by hand, and nothing in the app stops a member from not paying. And Zelle and Cash App themselves tell users to pay only people they know and trust, because a payment sent is hard to get back.
In short: if your circle already trusts each other and pays by Zelle or cash, a free tracker may be all you need. If you want the collecting and paying out handled, and a record nobody has to maintain, choose an app that moves the money.

What to check before you pick any app
- Who holds the money, and for how long. An app that pools money and pays it out later is holding your savings; ask where, and on whose licence.
- The cost of one payout, in dollars. A percentage alone hides fixed fees. Our payout calculator shows ours line by line; ask any app for the same.
- Whether it works where every member lives. Several apps don’t publish their countries.
- When it was last updated. An app not updated in a year may not be looked after.
- What happens if a member stops paying. None of these apps’ listings says it covers that gap; the order and who you invite still matter most.
- Anything that promises more than everyone put in is not a savings circle. Here is how to spot a blessing loom.
How we chose, and what we left out
We searched the US App Store on October 23, 2026, for apps that run rotating savings circles, and kept those updated in the last twelve months whose listing or website says how money moves. That leaves out some:
- Esusu, a name many people search for, is now a rent payment and credit-building app, not a savings circle.
- My Ajo App, EsusuHive, AyuutoCircle and Susu-App run savings circles, but their listings don’t say whether the app moves money or members pay each other, so we couldn’t place them fairly.
- Apps built for one market outside the countries we cover, such as Qatar or the UAE, and Android- or web-only tools, which this page doesn’t review.
